Petrified Wood Bracelet
Description – With the beautiful color patterns in warm browns, reds, creams and greys, this bracelet hides the fact that each bead is 220 million year old petrified wood from the Triassic period.
History – Petrified wood is the result of trees becoming stone through mineralization after being buried under volcanic ash or other sediment. As water slowing seeps through the mineral-rich sediment and into the wood of the trees, the minerals gradually replace the cells of the wood. Our petrified wood come from ancient conifer forests of Araucaria trees, also known as monkey puzzle trees, in Madagascar.
