History – Believed to be some of the oldest fossils on earth, Kona Dolomite is thought to be the petrified remains of organisms living in ancient oceans two billion years ago, making it some of the oldest known organisms on the planet. The unique fossils can only be found in the area of the Great Lakes, primarily around the Kona Hills area of Marquette County, Michigan.
Style – This necklace looks best in lengths between 16 and 20 inches.
Construction Details – A single Kona Dolomite fossil bead is suspended on a petite sterling silver chain and finished with a sterling silver clasp.
Care Instructions – As with any fine jewelry, you should avoid getting it wet. Use a soft dry cloth to polish. Do not use steam or ultrasonic cleaners.
