Kona Dolomite Bracelet
Description – Soft shades of brown, cream and pink create beautiful patterns in these two-billion year old fossil beads. Kona Dolomite fossils in these colors can only be found in the state of Michigan.
History – Believed to be some of the oldest fossils on earth, Kona Dolomite is thought to be the petrified remains of organisms living in ancient oceans two billion years ago, making it some of the oldest known organisms on the planet. The unique fossils can only be found in the area of the Great Lakes, primarily around the Kona Hills area of Marquette County, Michigan.
Style – This design wears equally well for both men and women. Approximately 3/8″ wide, this bracelet looks stunning by itself or stacked with other bracelets.
Construction Details – A single Kona Dolomite fossil bead is set in a strand of volcanic black obsidian beads, then hand-strung on jewelers elastic cording for a perfect customized fit.
